Ladies Guide to Brighton Pride 2016

Get your rainbow flags out and clear your whole weekend as Brighton Pride will be descending upon us on August 5 – 7th 2016.
Now whether you are an avid Pride attendee or a newbie to the event we have put together a ‘Ladies Guide to Brighton Pride’ to make sure you know what’s going down. We’ve kindly broken it down in to 7 easy parts (the best parts), aren’t we good to you?!

1. Tickets – make sure you get one

Advance Brighton Pride festival tickets are highly recommended. Buy your tickets before July 24 to save 5 quid – hooray.

2. HER App

We defo suggest downloading the HER app – you‘ll be kept up to date with where and when the Parade is happening, what events you should be hitting and what’s the best lesbian parties throughout the day so you don’t miss out.

3. What’s New?

Pride Unplugged with Heather Peace & Lucy Spraggan (A Benefits Concert for the Rainbow Fund):
A shiny new addition to the Pride weekend is ‘Pride Unplugged’, this will see the amazing Heather Peace and newly married Lucy Spraggan provide a night of live acoustic music and entertainment. Our Friday night is sorted then – thank you Pride! We couldn’t think of a better way to kick start the weekend with some live music and guaranteed comedy from the likes of these two heroes.  Definitely would recommend hitting those tickets up early to make sure you don’t miss out, sad times.
When? You ask – Friday 5th August 2016 (Doors open 6pm. Entertainment from 7pm)
Where’s it happening? – Pride Pleasure Gardens, Victoria Gardens, Brighton BN1 1WN

Tickets are limited so we advise advance booking (£8 Early Bird – £10/£12 Advance – more on the gate if available)

4. The Main Event

Brighton Pride Parade:

Saturday, August 6th
11:00AM

Route TBC
Personally, we do rock up to the Parade part of the day a little late due to needing our beauty sleep but we have heard it’s a hoot (okay, okay, we made it once). HER have organised a gathering at Victoria Gardens to watch the 2016 Pride Parade as a big girly family. Perfect opp to meet new chums or…crack on 😉 – we’ll see you there.

Brighton Pride Festival:

Saturday, August 6th
12:00PM
Preston Park

Right after the Parade it’s time to hit Preston Park where you’ll find music acts like Sister Sledge (classic), Carly Rae Jepson, Fleur East, DJ Fresh, Alesha Dixon, Seann Miley Moore and a whole load of other peeps there to entertain the masses. Girls Dance Tent is open from Noon till close – going to take a wild stab in the dark but I reckon you’ll find a lot of lesbians there… (Including the majority of Nonchalant London).
